IDE/Framework Requirements

DevRiot was developed using Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005/.Net Framework 2.0. It is a Visual Studio Integration Package.

It should work with later versions of Microsoft's Visual Studio or .Net Frameworks. There is no support for Visual Studio 2003.


Environment Requirements .Net

  • A running instance of Microsoft's SQLServer during setup and work sessions (SQLExpress will suffice) This will probably change to MySQL/ODBC for cross platform uniformity.
  • A working internet connection, for setup and work sessions. DevRiot will download from our site the latest version of RIOT engine every time it is loaded into Visual Studio.

(We use standard SQL databases to store the test suites. For this beta ONLY SQLServer databases are supported)

  • A working email address. During the setup process some instructions (required to download RIOT engine) will be emailed to you.

Java Environment Requirements

  • A running instance of MySQL.
